About Us: Excell Supply is a leading provider of educational services, dedicated to delivering high-quality support to schools and students. We are excited to announce the opening of a new, purpose-built Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) School in Lincoln, catering to students aged 5-19. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape a pioneering educational community from the ground up.

The Role: We are seeking a visionary and compassionate Head of Education to lead our SEMH School. You will play a critical role in establishing a culture of excellence, inclusion, and support. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a positive and productive learning environment for students, staff, and families.

This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of SEMH needs, a passion for innovative education, and a commitment to making a real difference in the lives of young people.

  • Lead the development and implementation of the school's vision, ethos, and policies, ensuring alignment with our company's values and mission.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, families, staff, and external stakeholders to create a cohesive and supportive school community.
  • Ensure compliance with all educational standards, safeguarding regulations, and Ofsted requirements, maintaining a high level of academic excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement, using data and feedback to refine practices and achieve outstanding outcomes, contributing to the growth and success of our students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial leadership experience in a school setting, preferably in a SEMH context.
  • Proven experience in working with children and young people with SEMH needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of their challenges and requirements.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team, promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual respect.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and a commitment to inclusive education, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive.
  • Experience in setting up or leading a new school or educational provision is highly desirable, as is a track record of achieving outstanding outcomes and improving student performance.
