H9 Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead the operations of our client's Energy-from-Waste (EfW) plant in Lincoln. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of the plant, as well as managing a team of over 30 engineers, technicians, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Plant Operations: Oversee the daily operation of the EfW plant, ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Financial Management: Develop and implement financial budgets for the plant, ensuring alignment with company objectives and targets.
- Contract Management: Act as the primary point of contact for contractual interfaces with Lincolnshire County Council, ensuring smooth operation of contractual obligations and delivering commercial and contractual interests.
- Training and Development: Implement the company's training and development policy, ensuring continuous development, training, and improvement of personnel and team objectives.
- Education: Engineering degree educated with a proven track record in an EfW management role.
- Experience: Strong technical background in EfW and waste management, with experience in identifying opportunities that add value to the bottom line and implementing through good project management skills.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience of managing a multi-disciplined team and a strong drive and resilience.
- Qualifications: Engineering degree and relevant certifications, such as HSE standards and COSHH requirements.
