Senior Interventional Bronchoscopist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior LED in CCT Interventional Fellowship. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our expanding team in the Thoracic Oncology department, where you will have the chance to hone your skills in interventional bronchoscopy, pleural disease, and lung cancer screening.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing lung cancer pathways, from early detection with screening to management of complex lung cancer and pleural disease. You will have the opportunity to further develop interventional skills, including endobronchial skills with other pleural and minimally invasive thoracic techniques.
You will be involved in the full diagnostic pathways, including screening triage, outcoming of screening investigations, rapid access lung cancer clinics, Cancer and Pleural ward consult service, MDT, including specialist pleural MDT, teaching, research & Audit, and service development.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- MRCP or equivalent
- Trained to Level 1 in thoracic Ultrasound
- In final year of specialist respiratory training or within one year of completion
- Independent at Bronchoscopy
- Some EBUS experience
- Some experience in Indwelling pleural catheter insertion and thoracoscopy
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, flexibility, commitment, and compatibility with colleagues and staff in the department. They will also have the ability to work under pressure and capacity for staff motivation.
