About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Global Audit & Risk team at Royal Mail Group as a Senior Internal Auditor and Risk Advisor. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying, planning, executing, and reporting on risk-based internal audits in line with the Audit Manual and best practice methodology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute risk-based audits to identify and assess potential risks and controls.
  • Develop and implement pragmatic commercial solutions that balance benefits and costs against associated risks.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships throughout the end-to-end audit process, including senior managers and executive directors.
  • Prepare and/or assist with the production of reports for the Royal Mail and IDS Audit & Risk Committees.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognized CCAB qualification, IIA, or ACA, or equivalent. You will also need to have demonstrable experience of internal auditing/risk management, working under professional standards and/or practice.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL), project governance frameworks, knowledge of complex enterprise systems, or information security principles.
