POSITION OVERVIEW

We are in search of a qualified individual to assume the role of Global IT Security Architect, focusing on enterprise-level security strategies as we embark on innovative projects aimed at enhancing our operational framework.

In this pivotal role, you will engage in Security Engineering, Architecture, and Automation across our international organization, facilitating advancements aligned with contemporary trends. The ideal candidate will be tasked with formulating strategic directions for the future of our security posture, particularly concerning Generative AI initiatives. As a Global IT Security Architect, your responsibilities will include crafting and implementing solutions that address our security requirements while ensuring scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Tackle security challenges associated with Generative AI, focusing on access controls and encryption for storage solutions such as Vector DB and Graph DB.
  2. Collaborate closely with Enterprise and Security Architecture teams to comprehend their security needs and devise appropriate solutions.
  3. Conduct security design and application architecture evaluations utilizing risk assessment and threat modeling techniques in enterprise settings.
  4. Develop and disseminate secure design patterns and coding best practices across various programming languages and platforms, including APIs, hybrid multi-region cloud infrastructures, and container technologies.
  5. Implement Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and DevSecOps methodologies along with relevant tools.
  6. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards (e.g., NIST SSDF, OWASP Top 10, SAMM, ASVS).
  7. Utilize vulnerability scanning tools and penetration testing techniques to identify and remediate application vulnerabilities.
  8. Manage and oversee security technologies, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and secrets management systems.
  9. Partner with solution architects and engineering teams to integrate security recommendations at the architectural level.
  10. Oversee project management tasks, including technical planning, design specifications, vendor assessments, and reporting.
  11. Adapt to evolving environments with shifting schedules and priorities.
  12. Conduct security assessments of network designs and implementations.
  13. Operate within an Agile framework.
  14. Prepare and review regular status reports and performance metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Over 10 years of experience in design, implementation, and consulting for distributed applications and security/compliance-related tasks.
  3. At least 5 years of experience in software development and AI/ML or a related technology domain.
  4. A minimum of 10 years in security/compliance roles.
  5. Extensive experience (7+ years) in network security engineering with large-scale global implementations.
  6. Proven expertise in network and cloud security architecture, design, and best practices for a globally distributed environment across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  7. Experience in addressing security challenges within multi-tenant data pipelines.
  8. Familiarity with Cloud Native technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  9. Strong grasp of networking protocols, including TCP/IP and DNS.
  10. Experience with NextGen and Cloud Native Firewalls, as well as intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  11. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  12. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects concurrently.
  13. Strong organizational, written communication, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
  14. Expertise in cloud security for platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  15. Knowledge of encryption technologies and their practical applications.
  16. Ability to conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and formulate mitigation strategies.
  17. Experience with IAM, including SSO, access control, and user provisioning.
  18. Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and the interpretation of results.
  19. CISSP and other relevant security certifications are preferred.

  8. Managing challenging and high-pressure situations with composure, tact, and patience, while maintaining a sense of urgency.
