We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Governance Administrator to join our team at The Scout Association. As a key member of our Governance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our activities and supporting our mission-driven work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Governance Team, ensuring that key stakeholders receive a high-quality service.
  • Facilitate Board and Committee meetings, including room bookings, catering arrangements, and support with paper presentation.
  • Typing, printing, and collating papers and documents for meetings, including induction packs.
  • Administration tasks relating to the Board's secure portal, Convene, including building meeting agendas and collating/distributing papers.
  • Review email inboxes daily, handling and responding to queries and requests in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate electronic records systems.
  • Ability to work as a team member and develop effective working relationships across the Association.
  • Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Competent with MS Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets, databases, Word, and Outlook.
