About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fabric Maintenance Operative / Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our NHS Maintenance team in a mobile role in Bedford and Luton. This team delivers a first-class repairs service in partnership with an NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive/responsive repairs, as well as statutory checks on this NHS contract.
  • Work as part of a highly skilled multi skilled maintenance team and previous relevant experience in the maintenance of building services is essential.
  • Responsible for the repairs and maintenance to the buildings fabric, including carpentry tasks, plumbing tasks, and completing PPM's (planned preventative maintenance) and daily plant checks.

Requirements

  • Previous building maintenance experience, ideally in an NHS environment, though candidates with commercial experience will also be considered
  • A relevant trade qualification or time-served experience
  • A knowledge of Health & Safety, permit to work procedures, and safe systems of working
  • A full UK driving license
