The Role of a Skilled Maintenance Technician

As a skilled maintenance technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our facilities. Your primary duties include:

  • Performing domestic repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, welcoming, clean, hygienic, and well-maintained environment.
  • Completing minor projects within the site complex to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports related to site activities and compliance.
  • Participating in audits of quality systems to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Inspecting contractor work and addressing any deficiencies to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant national regulations and inspection standards for our type of establishment.
  • Managing your workload effectively to deliver proactive and timely maintenance services.
  • Collaborating closely with the Regional Facilities Manager on larger projects and seeking guidance on technical matters.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in facility design, functionality, or operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring that projects are completed within agreed timelines and that work areas are left in a satisfactory condition.

You will also be responsible for the upkeep of the grounds surrounding our facilities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a skilled maintenance technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.
