Job Summary

Rydon is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our NHS Maintenance team in a mobile role in Bedford and Luton. This team delivers a first-class repairs service in partnership with an NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive and responsive repairs, as well as statutory checks on NHS contracts.
  • Carry out carpentry tasks, such as easing and adjusting doors, adjusting door closers, and lock changing.
  • Conduct plumbing tasks, including changing/repairing taps, finding and repairing leaks, and completing PPMs (planned preventative maintenance) and daily plant checks.

Requirements

  • Previous building maintenance experience, ideally in an NHS environment
  • Relevant trade qualification or time-served experience
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, permit to work procedures, and safe systems of working
  • Full UK driving license
