We are seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a Junior Transport Consultant, marking the beginning of their career in the development sector.

You will become part of a supportive office environment in South Liverpool, where collaboration is encouraged among all team members, from Directors to fellow Graduates.

In your role as a Junior Transport Consultant, your responsibilities will include gathering transport data from diverse external sources, learning to draft Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, creating initiatives to promote sustainable travel, and performing junction modelling using specialized software.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of Transport Assessments/Statements, Feasibility Studies, and Travel Plans;
  • Analyze current travel patterns with the aid of GIS software and propose measures to enhance sustainable travel;
  • Concentrate on junction capacity analysis, report figures, swept path assessments, and the design of transport improvements including junction layouts;
  • Collaborate within a growing team, undertaking a variety of tasks to ensure timely report delivery.

This position offers the chance to engage in a diverse range of exciting development projects, making you an integral part of a busy, commercially-focused team with an expanding workload. You will receive personalized training and guidance from experienced professionals across various tasks related to transport planning.

Candidate Requirements:

Applicants should have achieved or be on track to obtain an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Planning, Geography, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, or a related field.

Preferred candidates will have relevant experience from summer placements or internships, or demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Transport Planning. Our office is conveniently located near transport links, with complimentary parking for cars and bicycles.

We are particularly interested in candidates who reside in or near Liverpool or are willing to relocate, while maintaining strong connections to the area.
