POSITION: Regional Safety Consultant

EMPLOYER: Prominent National Retailer

WORKING AREA: Various locations with travel requirements

COMPENSATION: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum

Our client, a prominent national retailer, is looking for a Regional Safety Consultant to enhance their team. In this role, you will assist the Manager in executing the organization's health and safety framework across their retail outlets and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities of the Regional Safety Consultant:

Serve as a knowledgeable resource within your designated area concerning health & safety, fire regulations, food safety, and compliance with trading laws.

Oversee the organization's response to any regulatory actions within your regions.

Collaborate with regional teams (Store Operations, Distribution Centers, Transportation, Real Estate, Administrative functions, and National Departments) to ensure that health & safety, fire safety, food safety, and trading law obligations are thoroughly addressed.

Perform Risk Assessments for Stores, Workplace Transport, and Fire Safety.

Conduct audits and inspections at agreed intervals across various retail locations and distribution centers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Must be adept at presenting to groups, thus requiring strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, effective time management, and organizational skills.

Must possess a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for fieldwork.

Engage with external service providers, including contractors, regarding health, safety, and fire risk management as necessary.

Address inquiries from third parties and local authorities concerning regulatory matters.

Investigate significant work-related incidents and provide guidance on necessary injury prevention initiatives.

Qualifications Required:

Demonstrated experience in the retail or logistics industry.

Proven background as a Health & Safety Consultant in a multi-site capacity.

Qualified with a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.

Full UK Driving License.
