Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Neurophysiologist to join our team at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Neurophysiologist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical services in the field of neurophysiology, including EEG and EMG.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical services in EEG and EMG, including routine and complex cases.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines for neurophysiological services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for patients with neurological disorders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects in neurophysiology.
  • Participate in teaching and training of junior medical staff and physiologists.

Requirements
  • CCST in Clinical Neurophysiology or equivalent.
  • Clear experience of clinical neurophysiology, particularly adult EEG, including management of complex cases.
  • Understanding of clinical neurophysiology principles and role of clinical neurophysiology in diagnosis and management of neurological disorders.
  • Practical and technical ability to undertake neurophysiological studies and effective use of neurophysiological testing equipment.
  • Ability to clearly document testing results, adhere to departmental/trust protocols for reporting, and keep appropriate clinical records.
  • Ability to work as part of a team but show individual initiative when required.
