Job Title: Consultant Neurophysiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurophysiologist to join our team at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Neurophysiology department, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical services in the field of neurophysiology, including EEG and EMG.

About the Role

This is a full-time, substantive post based in Liverpool, Merseyside. The successful candidate will have significant expertise in EEG, including invasive telemetry monitoring and routine EEG reporting, as well as EMG. There is flexibility in the job plan content, and we welcome applications from those with special interests or wishing to develop their skills further.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical services in neurophysiology, including EEG and EMG
  • Conduct routine and complex EEG and EMG investigations
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines for neurophysiology services
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including physiologists and junior doctors
  • Participate in teaching and training activities for physiologists and junior doctors
