Job Title: Warehouse and Logistics Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse and Logistics Specialist to join our team at Speedcast. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for guiding, assisting, and supporting the procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, and warehouse/inventory control processes for our assigned country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize the storage and distribution of all goods relating to Service Implementation, ensuring that the correct equipment has been received and the correct equipment is in the right place for the right project.
  • Manage local warehouse stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
  • Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers regarding delivery and queries.
  • Analyze logistical patterns and problems and produce solutions.
  • Receive goods in and confirm receipt is correct to order.
  • Input of goods received onto system.
  • Packing and palletization of shipping goods.
  • Coordination of pre-inspections.
  • Coordination of stock movements (location to location).
  • Maintain levels of consumables for project support.
  • Notification to Project Managements/Internal stakeholders and customers of equipment delivery and shipping.
  • Travel to other locations to support the logistics needs (mainly Netherlands).
  • Any other tasks as directed assigned by the Global Logistics Manager.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of Warehouse and Logistics experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in Satellite communication industry.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate customer needs and make recommendations to meet those needs.
  • Ability to ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner and Company HSE system is adhered to.
  • PC experience in a Windows operating environment with strong typing ability.
  • ERP system experience would be nice to have.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skill in English.
  • Able to work proactively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work alone in the field and cope with tight deadlines.
