Job Title: Depot Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Depot Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Claxton Engineering. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective shipping of equipment to worldwide destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creation of UK despatch & collection notes for movement of equipment.
  • Creation of import commercial invoice & clearance instructions.
  • Creation of Export commercial invoices, despatch notes, cargo summary tickets.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure efficient shipping of subsea equipment.
  • Obtain export and import entries from freight agents to complete logistical files.
  • Provide logistical knowledge to all parties on site and identify means of shipping equipment.
  • Liaise with Warehouse and Logistics colleagues to ensure efficient and accurate control of imports and exports.
  • Liaise with colleagues globally in relation to shipments and document control.
  • Communicate with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure operations are in line with requirements.
Requirements:
  • Proven exports/imports track record within international logistics.
  • Knowledge of Export Licence control.
  • Knowledge of all customs import regimes.
  • Understanding of shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Understanding of customs procedure codes.
  • Knowledge within Classification of goods and incoterms.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Logistics Co-Ordinator or similar role.
  • Experience within busy environment with fluctuating activity levels.
  • Proficient I.T. skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
