Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Theatre Nurse to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and delivering theatre care in the peri-operative setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Main Responsibilities:- Act as a scrub team leader, overseeing the smooth running of lists and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Develop, train, and monitor the clinical skills of a designated group of staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Establish and maintain high standards of pre/peri and postoperative care, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the delivery of a cost-effective service, adjusting staffing levels to meet demand and working closely with clinical coordinators to manage resources.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered Nurse or registered ODP with extensive experience in theatre scrub and team lead in orthopaedic theatre.
- Teaching and Supervision qualification, with evidence of continuous Professional Development.
- Ability to organize day-to-day theatre activities, lead and delegate appropriately, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- L6 or above academic level, with management training and experience.
- Knowledge of current issues in operating theatre, people management, and appraisal skills.

Working Arrangements:
The successful candidate will be required to work six days per week, with flexibility to work at different locations as needed. Participation in the CMH on-call rota is also a requirement.
