About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic specialist pharmacist to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist - Gastroenterology Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to the Gastroenterology specialty.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead, deliver, develop, and evaluate a clinical pharmacy service to ensure safe, clinically effective, and cost-efficient use of drugs.
  • Participate in the pharmaceutical services of the Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust, including clinical pharmacy, aseptic services, and in-patient services.
  • Take part in the weekend and bank holiday and out of hour emergency duty service.

Person Specification

We are looking for a pharmacist with:

  • MPharm or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Postgraduate diploma qualification in clinical pharmacy or relevant experience

Desirable qualifications include leadership or management qualifications, NMP qualification, and membership of the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacist Group. Experience of personnel management, delivery of clinical pharmacy services, and evidence of continuing professional development are also essential.
