Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Winchester

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and friendly school in Winchester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children in their learning journey and making a real difference in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in daily classroom activities, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist students with their learning on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, promoting student participation and engagement.
  • Supervise children during break times and lunchtimes, maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere.
  • Support students with special educational needs, providing individualized support and guidance.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team, with a passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, are an advantage.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service are required.
