Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEN in a classroom setting, working closely with the class teacher and other support staff.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring that students receive the support they need to access the curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs) for students with SEN.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN support.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Good understanding of Special Educational Needs and the role of a Teaching Assistant in supporting students with SEN.
  • Ability to engage students in their learning and support their social, emotional, and personal wellbeing.
  • Right to work in the UK and an up-to-date DBS registration.
