Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with learning difficulties, including ADHD, SEMH, and ASC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with learning difficulties in a classroom setting
  • Work alongside a team of support staff to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist students with their social, emotional, and personal wellbeing
  • Engage students in their learning and promote their academic and personal growth
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties
  • Good understanding of Special Educational Needs and willingness to learn
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant in a special needs school
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one
