About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and solution-focused Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding Team in Leicestershire County Council.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the social care needs of adults at risk of or experiencing abuse or neglect.
- Promote and contribute to the safety and well-being of all individuals in the community through the implementation of safeguarding practices and procedures.
- Take referrals and process them according to departmental guidelines, standards, and council policies.
- Work in an integrated way with partners, including health and colleagues across the region, to conduct enquiries, implement protection plans, and promote the rights, freedoms, and outcomes of those supported.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Knowledge of Adult Care legislation and procedures.
- Experience of safeguarding enquiries under The Care Act 2014, mental capacity assessments, and best interest decision making.
