The Training Interface Manager (TIM) is a key position within the Nuclear Skills Alliance (NSA), acting as the main liaison between the NSA and the EDF Nuclear family.

This role is essential for ensuring that foundational training programs align with operational needs and regulatory requirements, while also promoting ongoing enhancements to training initiatives. The TIM will ensure that the nuclear workforce receives appropriate technical training and development to effectively support their roles.

The individual in this position will be accountable to the licensees and will function as an informed supplier on behalf of the NSA, taking a broader view across all licensees to optimize NSA-led training opportunities and enhance training efficiency throughout the EDF Nuclear family.

A strong and regular on-site presence is required, so we seek a candidate who is adaptable and willing to travel frequently to various power stations and office locations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will encompass:

Serving as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all Nuclear Technical Training. Collaborating directly with station and fleet management to assess training needs and deliver customized solutions. Acting as the NSA's 'Intelligent Supplier', coordinating with Nuclear Operations Intelligent Customers to ensure service coherence across the EDF Nuclear Family. Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Fleet Training and other licensees. Leading significant NSA Learning & Development initiatives as directed, such as the EDF Renewables Competency Programme, implementing a Learning Management System (LMS), and managing competency frameworks. Developing and executing strategies for demand-driven training to meet the supply and demand needs of initial training programs. Driving business development initiatives to secure NSA's position as the preferred training provider within the UK nuclear sector. Identifying opportunities to support the Fleet through coordinated central training efforts.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a degree or equivalent qualifications.

Demonstrated experience in a leadership role focused on training and development is essential, particularly within a highly regulated environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, along with the ability to demonstrate collaborative working practices. Engaging stakeholders effectively is a vital aspect of this role.

The candidate should be capable of interpreting complex personnel data and communicating project plans and strategies clearly.

A solid understanding of commercial principles and a results-oriented mindset are necessary; the candidate should be a strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth and improvement opportunities.

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities are essential.

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and competency management is advantageous.
