Company Overview
Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS) operates as a fully owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is dedicated to the decommissioning of early-generation nuclear power facilities and various research sites.

Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical execution of projects, collaborating with contractors to manage the detailed design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning processes. Your responsibilities will also include interfacing with other projects within the Waste Projects Programme and the broader site delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned projects.
- Develop concept designs and engineering solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Produce, review, or approve technical specifications for projects.
- Manage detailed design activities in compliance with design authority standards and regulations.
- Prepare modification proposals and act as a Nominated Responsible Engineer (NRE) for plant modifications.
- Provide technical supervision during commissioning and decommissioning phases.
- Ensure a smooth handover process at the end of projects, ensuring all necessary documentation and training are provided.
- Maintain configuration control of documentation and drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Adhere to all Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of an HNC or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with nuclear and/or conventional project engineering.
- Understanding of relevant national engineering standards.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and safety regulations is desirable.

Additional Information
