Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technician to join our client's team. As a Senior Architectural Technician, you will play a key role in the design and development of architectural projects. You will be responsible for leading a technical team, overseeing multiple projects, and providing technical guidance and support to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a technical team and oversee multiple projects
  • Develop project briefs and feasibility studies
  • Prepare and present design proposals
  • Use Revit on a daily basis
  • Check drawings and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Evaluate environmental impact and sustainability
  • Obtain and evaluate tenders and contracts
  • Liaise with local planning, building control departments, and other statutory bodies
  • Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors, and other specialists
  • Collaborate closely with construction specialists on-site
  • Obtain feedback from clients and building users, and report on contractor performance
  • Appraise the performance of buildings in use and produce maintenance management information

Requirements:

  • Qualified as an Architectural Technician
  • Ability to use Revit is essential
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in Architecture
  • Experience with NBS Specification and Sketchup is beneficial
  • Proven track record of team management
  • Freehand drawing ability would be beneficial
  • Good understanding of building technology
  • Experience in care or retirement living projects would be highly beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of UK building and CDM regulations
  • Care about the impact of designs on the end user
  • Valid UK driving licence
