Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Architectural Technologist to lead our technical team and oversee multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in architecture, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of building technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in the running of a technical team
- Oversee multiple projects from conception to completion
- Develop and implement project briefs and feasibility studies
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients
- Use Revit on a daily basis to create and manage building information models
- Check and approve drawings to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Evaluate environmental impact and sustainability of projects
- Obtain and evaluate tenders and contracts
- Liaise with local planning, building control departments, and other statutory bodies
- Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors, and other specialists to ensure buildings meet necessary standards
- Collaborate closely with construction specialists on-site to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Obtain feedback from clients and building users, and report on contractor performance once the construction project is completed
- Appraise the performance of buildings in use and produce maintenance management information
Requirements:
- Qualified as an Architectural Technician
- Ability to use Revit is essential
- Possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in architecture
- Experience with NBS Specification and Sketchup is beneficial
- Proven track record of team management
- Freehand drawing ability would be beneficial
- Good understanding of building technology
- Experience in care or retirement living projects would be highly beneficial
- Strong knowledge of UK building and CDM regulations
- Care about the impact of designs on the end user
- Due to site locations, you will need a valid UK driving licence
