About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technician to join our team at Hunter Dunning Ltd. As a Senior Architectural Technician, you will play a key role in the running of a technical team, overseeing multiple projects, and providing technical guidance and support to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take a lead role in the running of a technical team
  • Oversee multiple projects from conception to completion
  • Work closely with the team to develop junior team members and allocate work and resources effectively
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients, including the development of project briefs and feasibility studies
  • Prepare and present design proposals, utilizing Revit on a daily basis
  • Check and verify drawings to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Evaluate environmental impact and sustainability, and obtain and evaluate tenders and contracts
  • Liaise with local planning, building control departments, and other statutory bodies
  • Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors, and other specialists to ensure buildings meet necessary standards
  • Collaborate closely with construction specialists on-site to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard
  • Obtain feedback from clients and building users, and report on contractor performance once the construction project is completed
  • Appraise the performance of buildings in use and produce maintenance management information
Requirements
  • Qualified as an Architectural Technician
  • Ability to use Revit is essential
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in Architecture
  • Experience with NBS Specification and Sketchup is beneficial
  • Proven track record of team management
  • Freehand drawing ability would be beneficial
  • Good understanding of building technology
  • Experience in care or retirement living projects would be highly beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of UK building and CDM regulations
  • Care about the impact of designs on the end user
  • Due to site locations, you will need a valid UK driving licence
