Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Worker - Exclusion Room to join our team. As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing the supervision of both pupils and staff in the exclusion room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize the supervision of both pupils and staff in the exclusion room.
  • Visit students in their lessons to address any behaviour-related issues.
  • Ensure appropriate work is available for students in the exclusion room.
  • Maintain accurate behaviour records through SIMS and other relevant systems.
  • Uphold high standards of pupil behaviour in the exclusion room.
  • Implement strategies to support the re-integration of students back into classroom lessons after removal.
  • Provide necessary support to students with their work.
  • Assist with school impositions and their follow-up as required.
  • Liaise with parents and caregivers regarding exclusions and general behaviour matters.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school environment.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records using systems like SIMS.
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of student behaviour.
  • Proactive approach to supporting student re-integration into classroom lessons.
