Job Overview

As a Project Scheduler at King and Moffatt, you will play a crucial role in establishing and upholding project management controls while ensuring precise reporting across various initiatives.

This position is integral to our operations and will involve collaboration with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive baseline schedule utilizing Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project software in accordance with company protocols, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Construct project delivery schedules using a structured hierarchy and effectively communicate these to the project team.
  • Design distinct and integrated templates and model programs for the three phases: Pre-construction, Construction, and Commissioning.
  • Formulate detailed schedules encompassing design, procurement, installation, and project closure.
  • Integrate schedules from trade contractors into the overall company schedule hierarchy.
  • Facilitate communication regarding scheduling and project control issues among all project team members, including the company, clients, design teams, and trade contractors.
  • Oversee progress reporting and the integration of progress data into the company’s reports.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and produce weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
  • Participate in the change management process to assess the impact of changes on the project timeline.
  • Develop and manage the commissioning schedule.
  • Create commissioning KPIs and reporting systems.
  • Conduct time impact analyses to support claims for extensions of time.
  • Assess extension of time claims submitted by trade contractors.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as an M&E Planner, preferably in high-end residential or commercial building services projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Project is essential.
  • Experience in construction planning within Mechanical/Electrical Building Services contracting is crucial.
  • Exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail with the capability to generate comprehensive reports.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to strict timelines.
