Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Specialist Physiotherapist to join our Acute Respiratory Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist respiratory care and rehabilitation to patients across various wards, including intensive care and out-patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage respiratory patients, working independently under the guidance of the team leader.
  • Contribute to clinical education of students and participate in departmental activities.
  • Work as requested across a 7-day rota, including night calls and on-call services.
  • Ensure compliance with confidential patient records, hospital equipment, and own safety in line with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Provide written and verbal feedback to the multidisciplinary team regarding communicating rehabilitation needs/goals required to facilitate safe discharge.
  • Deputise for senior staff as required.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • BSc Physiotherapy
    • Respiratory Experience
    • NHS experience
    • Post graduate rotational experience of 18 months minimum
  • Desirable:
    • Respiratory experience band 6
    • Line management experience of students or qualified staff
    • Electronic notes experience
    • Further qualifications in relevant area
