Job Summary

The Waste Systems Administrator role is a key position within the Technical Team at Northumberland County Council, supporting the Neighbourhood Services department through data analysis and system development. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance measures, as well as implementing data capture, scrutiny, analysis, and interrogation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to support waste management, grounds maintenance, winter maintenance, and parks maintenance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Team to design and implement data analysis and reporting systems.
  • Communicate findings and insights to various stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
  • Contribute to project-based work, including data-driven initiatives and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data analysis, data science, or data engineering, with a strong understanding of data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and analytical thinking, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Active awareness of current issues facing environmental services and local government, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
