Role Overview

As a Lead Care Support Specialist at Methodist Homes, you will guide and motivate a dedicated team of care assistants to deliver exceptional care to our residents, ensuring they enjoy their later years to the fullest. Your responsibilities will be diverse, including assisting residents with personal care requirements and facilitating their participation in various activities that promote their health and wellbeing. You will also be responsible for administering medications and maintaining precise and comprehensive records. Each day will present new challenges, allowing you to utilize your leadership and interpersonal skills to create a meaningful impact.

Candidate Profile

We seek a Lead Care Support Specialist who is deeply committed to caring for older individuals, possesses prior care experience, and holds at least an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care, with a willingness to pursue level 3. Additionally, you should have experience in leading, coaching, and inspiring a team to provide high-quality care.

Your character should be kind, warm, and nurturing, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative. Essential skills include patience, effective communication, and active listening. Strong organizational abilities, including record-keeping, time management, and task prioritization, are also crucial. If you can lead by example, foster positive relationships, and energize your colleagues to deliver outstanding care, we would be eager to hear from you.

About Our Facility

At our care home, we offer residential and dementia care for 45 residents in purpose-built, en-suite accommodations. Surrounded by nature, our facility provides a serene and welcoming environment. Our passionate team is committed to delivering personalized care in a supportive and safe setting.
