About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Import Operator to join our team at Willis Global Ltd. as a key member of our freight forwarding operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage air freight import shipments according to customer requirements, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Issue Master Air Waybills (MAWB) and House Air Waybills (HAWB) as required.
  • Prepare and submit customs documentation, including import declarations, import licenses, and CITES permits, to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Support other members of the import team as needed to ensure smooth operations and maintain high service quality.
  • Update shipping files and maintain accurate records to ensure efficient tracking and tracing of shipments.
  • Liaise with airlines in a professional manner to meet operational requirements and maintain up-to-date schedule information and shipment status reports.
  • Ensure all quality control procedures are updated and adhered to, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in air freight forwarding/logistics, preferably specialized in the movement of high-value goods.
  • Positive and professional customer focus, with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, with a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and import procedures, with a strong understanding of AS400/SAP/MS Office systems.
  • Knowledge of CDS for customs purposes is desirable.
  • No criminal convictions, subject to full DBS check.
