Role Responsibilities

The primary function of the post holder is to assist the Patient Equipment Service Team in overseeing and delivering bed services across various settings within the Aneurin Bevan catchment area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing daily administrative support to the Bed Service department.
  • Handling calls from patients and clinical staff regarding bed allocations in both acute and community services.
  • Assisting with the processing of invoices through Oracle and supporting nursing assessors.

The position is primarily based at St Cadocs Hospital, with potential assignments at other locations within the Health Board as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential qualifications include:

  • A good standard of general education.
  • NVQ Level 3 in administration or equivalent experience.
  • Strong IT skills and experience with electronic databases.
  • Proven administration experience in a busy environment.

Desirable qualifications may include facilities management qualifications and ECDL or equivalent certifications.

Skills Required

Essential skills include:

  • Analytical and judgment skills.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience with Oracle and invoice processing.
  • Ability to manage time and workload efficiently, especially under pressure.

Desirable skills include the ability to speak Welsh.
