Position: Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

Salary:
£30,727 (FTE)

Contract/Hours:
Permanent, 22.5 hours per week. Part-time, 3 days per week (flexibility on days)

Hybrid – Office base in South London (with 1 day working from home)


St Christopher's Hospice is a contemporary, welcoming, and dynamic organization dedicated to providing exceptional palliative and end-of-life care, along with vital support to over 7,000 individuals across various boroughs.


The Volunteer Engagement Team oversees all facets of volunteering, including recruitment, onboarding, conflict resolution, and the acknowledgment and appreciation of volunteers.

With a current roster of over 1,200 volunteers, we are committed to delivering the best possible experience for all participants.

We seek an outstanding communicator to offer continuous support and development to our volunteers. You should possess strong listening skills and the ability to swiftly build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. A solid understanding of volunteering best practices and experience in facilitating training sessions is essential.

Your passion for volunteering and meticulous attention to detail will contribute to creating engaging communications and updates, ensuring that volunteers feel recognized and valued.


This role presents an opportunity for you to enhance and develop a variety of skills and in-depth knowledge in volunteer development and management.

You will collaborate within a small, supportive team situated in the People Directorate.
