Job Title: OTM Fitter/Operator

Colas Rail UK is seeking a skilled and experienced OTM Fitter/Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail grinding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain rail grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs to prevent equipment downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Grinding and Maintenance Supervisors to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Monitor and report on equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to Colas Rail UK's safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
  • Recognised formal apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Proven experience in rail grinding or maintenance operations.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Valid driving license and PTS certification.
