Position Summary

This role presents a unique opportunity within the Bank's People Directorate, contributing to a significant strategic transformation initiative aimed at enhancing the professional delivery of the Bank's central services. We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable People Insights Manager to spearhead the development of our Data & Insights capabilities in alignment with our People Strategy & Insights division. Your leadership will be pivotal in empowering the People Directorate and the Bank to effectively implement its people strategy.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to establishing a function that leverages data and analytics. This function will be instrumental in guiding strategic decisions related to critical people matters, including talent acquisition, retention, engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, rewards, and employee development. This position provides the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, generating data-driven insights that enhance our People processes and support the overall objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Establishing a new capability for people data analysis and reporting:
  • Directing the establishment of the People Insights function to create a comprehensive understanding of workforce strength and the effectiveness of our employee value proposition (EVP), utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data sources.
  • Leading the implementation of the Bank's data strategy concerning people data.
  • Overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of people data from diverse sources, including the Bank's People system, employee surveys, performance evaluations, engagement metrics, and demographic information, while ensuring robust controls are in place.
  • Generating actionable insights and recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and business performance.
  • Creating and delivering regular reports and presentations to people leadership and stakeholders, emphasizing key trends, opportunities, and challenges.
Facilitating change management initiatives:
  • Leading the change management process for establishing the People Insights function within the People Directorate, ensuring effective communication and support mechanisms are in place for smooth transitions and adoption of new processes.
  • Developing and executing change management strategies that cater to the needs of various stakeholders, fostering engagement and buy-in across the organization.
Developing and managing the People Insights Dashboard:
  • Leading the design, development, and implementation of the People Insights Dashboard as a foundational tool for data gathering and insights delivery.
  • Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and project managers to ensure the dashboard meets stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of the dashboard with existing systems to provide a holistic view of people data.
Creating predictive forecasting models:
  • Managing the establishment of statistical techniques and predictive modeling to anticipate future workforce trends, identify potential risks, and propose proactive solutions.
  • Working with People Strategy Partners to forecast talent needs and develop workforce and succession planning strategies.
Driving continuous improvement:
  • Leading efforts to enhance processes related to people data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the overall efficiency of the People Insights function.
Enhancing stakeholder engagement and collaboration:
  • Collaborating closely with People Strategy Partners to align insights with strategic initiatives.
  • Working with key stakeholders within the People organization and related projects to build the capabilities of the People Strategy & Insights division.
  • Partnering with technology teams to ensure strategic alignment with the recommended technology stack.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Bank, serving as a trusted advisor on people data and analytics.
  • Facilitating workshops, meetings, and forums to gather input, share progress, and ensure alignment on strategic objectives.
Role Requirements

Minimum Criteria
  • Proven experience in driving change within a large, complex organization.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, demonstrating creative problem-solving and the ability to influence through data analysis.
  • Strong experience in building, motivating, and developing teams.
  • Solid understanding of people analytics, workforce planning, or a related field.
Essential Criteria
  • Experience in managing activities, workstreams, projects, and team effectiveness.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information to diverse audiences effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive people data.
  • Knowledge of legal and compliance aspects related to sensitive people data.
  • Experience in professional HR environments.
Desirable Criteria
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in establishing and managing an analytics function.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIPD, data analytics certifications).
  • Experience in both private and public sector environments.
This role encompasses people management responsibilities, including day-to-day team management and defining roles and responsibilities. You will foster team development through effective information sharing, coaching, and clear communication of vision to ensure staff engagement and productivity. This includes setting clear goals and objectives aligned with team, division, and directorate aims. You will also manage all staff-related matters, including performance and absence.

National Security Vetting Process
