Position Summary
This role presents a unique opportunity within the Bank's People Directorate, contributing to a significant strategic transformation initiative aimed at enhancing the modern and professional delivery of the Bank's core services. We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable People Insights Manager to spearhead the establishment of our new Data & Insights capability, aligned with the evolution of our People Strategy & Insights division. This position is pivotal in augmenting the capacity of the People Directorate and the Bank to formulate and implement its people strategy.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for developing a function that leverages data and analytics. This function will inform strategic decisions concerning various people-related dimensions, including talent acquisition, retention, engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, rewards, and professional development. This role entails close collaboration with cross-functional teams to derive data-driven insights that will enhance our People processes and support the overarching objectives of the organization.
Core Responsibilities
Establishing the new capability for people data analysis and reporting:
- Directing the formation of the People Insights function to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of workforce strengths and the effectiveness of our employee value proposition (EVP), utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data sources.
- Championing the implementation of the Bank's data strategy concerning people data.
- Overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of people data from diverse sources, including the Bank's People system, employee surveys, performance evaluations, engagement metrics, and demographic information, while ensuring appropriate controls are established.
- Generating valuable insights and actionable recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and business results.
- Preparing and delivering regular reports and presentations to people leadership and other stakeholders, emphasizing key trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Leading the change management process for the establishment of the People Insights function within the People Directorate, ensuring effective communication and support mechanisms are in place to facilitate smooth transitions and the adoption of new processes.
- Creating and executing change management strategies that cater to the needs of various stakeholders, fostering engagement and support throughout the organization.
- Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of the People Insights Dashboard as a fundamental tool for gathering and disseminating insights.
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and project managers to ensure the dashboard fulfills the requirements of various stakeholders.
- Ensuring seamless integration of the dashboard with existing systems to provide a holistic view of people data.
- Managing the establishment of statistical methodologies and predictive modeling to anticipate future workforce trends, identify potential risks, and propose proactive solutions.
- Partnering with People Strategy Partners to forecast talent needs and devise strategies for workforce and succession planning.
- Promoting ongoing enhancements related to the collection, analysis, and reporting of People data.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the People Insights function.
- Collaborating closely with People Strategy Partners to ensure alignment between insights and strategic initiatives.
- Working alongside other key stakeholders within the People organization and projects to develop the capabilities of the People Strategy & Insights division.
- Cooperating with technology teams to deliver strategically aligned solutions utilizing the recommended technology stack.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Bank, serving as a trusted advisor on matters related to people data and analytics.
- Facilitating workshops, meetings, and forums to gather input, share progress, and ensure alignment on strategic objectives and initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in implementing change within a large, complex organization.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities, demonstrating creative problem-solving and the ability to influence through data analysis.
- Strong track record in building, motivating, and developing teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of people analytics, workforce planning, or a related discipline.
- Experience in managing activities, workstreams, projects, and team effectiveness.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information to diverse audiences effectively.
- Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive people data.
- Knowledge of legal, compliance, and governance aspects concerning sensitive people data.
- Experience in professional HR settings.
- Specialized knowledge and experience in establishing and managing an analytics function.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPD, data analytics certifications).
- Experience in both private and public sector environments.

Compensation and Benefits
We promote flexible working, part-time arrangements, and job share options. Compensation and benefits for part-time roles will be adjusted accordingly.
This position offers a competitive salary in the range of £80,185 - £90,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
- A non-contributory, career average pension scheme providing guaranteed retirement benefits.
- A discretionary performance award based on the current award pool.
- An 8% benefits allowance, which can be taken as salary or used to purchase a variety of flexible benefits.
- 26 days of annual leave, with the option to purchase up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
- Private medical insurance and income protection.
Employment in this role will be subject to the National Security Vetting clearance process and additional Bank security checks as per policy.
