Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in a special needs school based in Northumberland.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing emotional and mental health support to students with complex needs, including ASD, SEMH, and complex learning disabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the school's staff to develop and implement individualized support plans, promoting the well-being and self-esteem of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional and mental health support to students with complex needs
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with the school's staff
  • Work closely with students, parents, and staff to promote the well-being and self-esteem of each student
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to present engaging and thoughtful lessons and CPD sessions
Requirements:
  • Believes that every student, regardless of their background or need, can make outstanding progress
  • Is rigorous, relentless, determined, creative, and inspirational in their style and presence as a leader
  • Has excellent behavior management skills and the ability to adapt to meet each individual's needs
