About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietetic Clinical Team Leader to join our Diabetes and Weight Management Dietetic team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, leadership, and guidance to our Dietetic staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Diabetes management, with experience in leading service change and quality improvement projects. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including clinicians, managers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.

This is a full-time post, but we are happy to consider applications from part-time candidates who can demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. The post holder will be expected to work across our East Lancashire sites, including to patients' usual place of residence, where required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to our Dietetic staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Lead service change and quality improvement projects, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines, pathways, and protocols, ensuring best practice in Diabetes management.
  • Contribute to the development of our Diabetes and Weight Management Dietetic team, including the recruitment and training of new staff.
  • Work closely with our Diabetes Service to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in clinical education and training, including the supervision of undergraduate students and support staff.
  • Contribute to the development of our Trust's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with national and local guidelines.
Person Specification
  • HCPC registration.
  • Clinical Supervision.
  • CPD maintained.
  • Trained/work in the NHS.
  • Masters modules.

  • Access to a private vehicle to be able to travel across ELHT sites, including to patients' usual place of residence, where required.
  • Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner as required in accordance with the agreed job plan.
