About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietetic Clinical Team Leader to join our Diabetes and Weight Management Dietetic team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management to the team, as well as developing and implementing clinical guidelines and policies. They will also be expected to work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients with complex diabetes needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the Diabetes and Weight Management Dietetic team
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and policies
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients with complex diabetes needs
  • Manage a caseload of complex diabetes patients, including those on insulin pumps
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including band 6 Specialist Dietitians and band 5 Rotational Dietitians
  • Contribute to clinical education and training of junior staff and students
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in Dietetics (BSC or MSc)
  • HCPC registration
  • Clinical supervision experience
  • CPD maintained
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and leading service change and quality improvement projects
  • Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
