Job Overview

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Team Leader to join our Community and Intermediate Care division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day management of our ward, prioritizing care, and ensuring the delivery of safe, personal, and effective care to our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation and care of older adults, with experience in leading and managing teams. You will be responsible for deputizing for the ward manager during periods of leave and will be fundamental to the delivery of CQC standards within practice.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. If you are a motivated and experienced nurse leader looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Coordinating the ward on a day-to-day basis
  • Rota management
  • Staff appraisals and development
  • Patient care and effective communication
  • Completion of audits and developing action plans
  • Supporting the NAPF agenda
Person Specification
  • NMC registration
  • Qualification in specialty to diploma/degree level, or willingness to undertake study
  • Appropriate teaching assessing certificate

  • Previous experience in speciality
  • Experience of recent employment in nurse a pre-registration student nurse area
