About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietetic Clinical Team Leader to join our Diabetes and Weight Management Dietetic team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to Band 6 Specialist Dietitians and Band 5 Rotational Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, guidelines, and protocols for Diabetes and Weight Management services.
  • Lead on Diabetes Dietetics for the Trust, providing guidance, training, and support to staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service change and quality improvement projects.
  • Supervise and appraise staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and wider system partners to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • BSC or MSc in Dietetics and HCPC registration.
  • Experience of working in a Diabetes specialty area for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Demonstrable evidence of clinical expertise in managing complex Diabetes patients.
  • Experience of leading service change and quality improvement projects.
  • Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
