About the Role

The University of Reading is seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join its Campus Development team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex repair and refurbishment projects from inception to handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a variety of complex repair and refurbishment projects
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to deliver the Estates Strategy
  • Work on a diverse range of buildings, from Grade II listed to modern structures
  • Join a strong network of property professionals within the Campus Development team
  • Contribute to a team that is community and culture-focused, making a genuine impact on the student population
  • Enjoy an autonomous role with responsibility for managing your own workload
  • Experience an excellent work/life balance

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in building surveying, managing small to medium-sized property projects
  • Relevant professional membership such as MRICS/MCIOB (or equivalent)
