About the Role

The University of Reading is seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join its Campus Development Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex repair and refurbishment projects from inception to handover.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of buildings, from Grade II listed to modern structures, and contribute to the university's estates strategy. You will have the autonomy to manage your own workload and enjoy an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver complex repair and refurbishment projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the university to deliver the estates strategy
  • Work on a diverse range of buildings, from Grade II listed to modern structures
  • Contribute to the development of the university's estates strategy
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in building surveying, managing small to medium-sized property projects
  • A relevant professional membership, such as MRICS/MCIOB (or equivalent)
