Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at a leading commercial, multidisciplinary consultancy. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing and undertaking surveys, formulating designs and specifications, and administering projects and programmes.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Building Surveying and a positive proactive approach to the role. You will be committed to delivering customer service excellence and good commercial results.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee the delivery of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Contract Administrator & Employer's Agent: Manage contracts and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Design & specification writing: Develop and implement designs and specifications for projects.
- Pre-acquisition surveys: Conduct surveys to identify potential issues with properties before they are acquired.
- PPM and asset condition schedules: Manage and maintain property portfolios, ensuring they are well-maintained and meet required standards.
- Quality and technical monitoring: Ensure that all work meets the required quality and technical standards.
- Bank/Fund monitoring: Monitor and manage funds and bank accounts related to projects.
- Defect diagnosis: Identify and diagnose defects in properties and develop solutions to rectify them.
- Dilapidations: Manage and resolve dilapidations issues with properties.
- Measured surveys: Conduct measured surveys to identify and record property details.
- Party Wall Awards: Manage and resolve party wall disputes.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will have a positive proactive approach to the role and be committed to delivering customer service excellence and good commercial results.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Building Surveying and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. You will be able to work remotely but travel nationally on an ad-hoc basis.
