Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Surveying team across a diverse range of projects, including insurance-related work, with a focus on residential and commercial properties across various types of construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.
- Inspections to involve acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations
- To prepare reports, schedules of work and works specifications
- To design and oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards
- To understand and apply other relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations and planning
- To help promote the company's services and secure projects.
- At all times to comply with the requirements of the Company's administrative, personnel procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
- BSc or MSc Building surveying degree
- To live within a commutable distance of Reading.
- 2-3 years minimum of experience in Building Surveying
- Experience and working knowledge of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning practices and procedures supported by an awareness of the latest statutory requirements and technical publications.
- Salary: £30k - £65k DOE
- Holiday 25 days plus BH increasing with service
- Pension 7.5% employer contribution
