About the Role

The University of Reading is seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join its Campus Development team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex repair and refurbishment projects from inception to handover.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of buildings, from Grade II listed to modern structures, and to contribute to a team that is community and culture-focused, making a genuine impact on the student population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver complex repair and refurbishment projects from inception to handover.
  • Work closely with the Campus Development team to deliver the Estates Strategy within a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of the Forward Maintenance Plan.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in building surveying, managing small to medium-sized property projects.
  • A relevant professional membership such as MRICS/MCIOB (or equivalent).
