About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teacher of the Deaf to join our Sensory Team in Southwark. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher for the Deaf to provide excellent practice in provision to pupils, mainstream teachers, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher for the Deaf to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting deaf pupils
  • Work with mainstream teachers and support staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in supporting deaf pupils
  • Provide specialist support to deaf pupils in schools and settings across Southwark
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for supporting deaf pupils
