About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Support Specialist to join our Radiology Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive administration support to ensure the smooth and efficient service of our department.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to a high volume of calls and enquiries, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the appropriate action is taken at all times.
- Communicate with internal and external professionals and organisations, providing accurate and timely information.
- Advise patients of their imaging appointments, including any required information or literature.
- Discuss sensitive or complex information with patients, as required.
- Send out preparation guidelines and medication, as prescribed by Consultant Radiologists.
- Cancelling and rescheduling Radiology imaging sessions and appointments, following strict guidelines.
- Ensure urgent diagnostic reports are escalated to the referrer, as instructed by Consultant Radiologists/Reporting Radiographers.

Person Specification
We are looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills, experience of working in a customer-facing role, and a good understanding of confidentiality and discretion. You will also have the ability to manage and prioritise a complex workload, remain calm under pressure, and produce high-quality work.
