Administrative Support Specialist

Southlands School is a specialist day and residential school with a registered children's home, providing education and care for children and young people with Autism or a profile of need that can be supported by autism specialist strategies.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and accessible administrative support for the smooth running and effective management of the establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling of meetings and reviews
- Taking notes/minutes of meetings
- Ensuring deadlines are met, organising schedules, liaising with external agencies and local authorities on behalf of the Headteacher and other senior staff
- Maintaining the Reception, dealing with enquiries and providing general clerical support
- Maintaining information databases, both manual and computerised
Requirements:
- Experience in taking minutes of meetings
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front of office representative or similar role
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Experience of using a range of office IT packages
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent customer service
- Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
